Kiral Industries, an American Information Technology (IT) Firm is to pilot Cloud Based Mobile Educational Solution “Athena Mobile Education System” in four schools in the Volta Region.
The schools are OLA Senior High, Worawora Senior High, Ziavi and Mawuli basic schools.
The Firm would deploy a system that enables students to connect to a cloud based workbook module to help identify and address problematic topics and offer feedback designed to highlight areas of students’ natural aptitude and teachers’ pedagogy needs.
The project, which is part of 2015 Mandela Washington Fellowship Reverse Exchange-Ghana programme, is aimed at boosting interest of students in education.
Christopher Giavarini, Director, Kiral Industries at a community durbar in his honour at Ziavi near Ho, expressed the hope that the project would make positive impact on education in the Region with the establishment of a branch of his Company in Ghana to train young people in software development.
Mr Bright Dey, 2015 Mandela Washington Fellow said the project would help students catch up with lessons anywhere, anytime.
He said it would also offer career guidance and help teenage mothers and school dropouts on their “journey back to school”.
