Donation of Assorted Medical Drugs to Atorkor Clinic – Radio Univers 105.7 | Voice of Legon

A  Dallas based Travel Nurse, Mr Anthony Kokutse on Monday donated assorted medical drugs valued at $120,000 to the Atorkor Community Medical Center in the South Ketu District in the Volta Region.

Presenting seven bags of assorted medical drugs which he said  came from a philanthropist Mrs. Karen Hall based in Central Texas in the United States of America comprised: cypro, pain killers,  eye drops, nasal drops, sterile foley catheters, first aid kits, wound care kits, sanitary pads, eye glasses(sight/reading) and stethoscopes etc. The sterile catethers have been donated to Beta Government Hospital for use.

Mr. Kokutse added that Mrs Karen Hall had decided to assist Ghanaians living in the rural areas who need medical care.

Receiving the donation, Madam Theresa Akorfa Agbenyega  an Administrator of the Atorkor Development Fundation who supervises the medical facility in the area, thanked the donors for their kind gesture. She pleaded for more donations to replenish their medical stores and asked for God’s protection for the donors.

Mr Anthony Kokutse, after the presentation, undertook some health screening for blood sugar level, hypertension and diabetes.  Mr Kokutse is a trained Nurse from Brown Mackie College, Kansas in the United States of America.

Sixty female patients who came for medical check up were given each a sanitary pad while 120 female students from the Atorkor vocational institute were also recipients of the sanitary pads.

In attendance at the presentation was the Assemblyman for Atorkor electoral area Mr. Mikail Kemevor,  nurses, patients and students from Atorkor vocational institute.
