Background

The NSMQ is an annual science and mathematics competition for Senior High Schools (SHS) across the country, starting as far back as in 1993.

It aims at promoting the study of the sciences and mathematics among SHS students as well as provides a platform for these students to uncover their talents.
With this year’s been the 21st edition, the NSMQ is undoubtedly the premier educational program in Ghana, making it very populous at fostering sound academic rivalry between SHS students and even past students who take great pride in their alma mater. It has also become a yardstick for which some parents select schools for their wards who are about entering pre-liminary stage.
