Nigeria Tops 2016 McDan West Africa Tennis Open – Radio Univers 105.7 | Voice of Legon

Sarah Adegoke and Micheal Moses of Nigeria beat Kate Coleman and Wisdom Na-Adirago of Ghana to win in both male and female categories of the just ended McDan West African Tennis Open at the Ohene Djan Stadium last Saturday.

Sarah beat Kate 6-1, 6-0 to win the coveted trophy with a $500 cash prize, tennis kits and products from the sponsors.

In the men’s division, Wisdom Na-Adirago of Ghana was defeated in a two straight sets by Nigerian’s Moses Michael ranked with 1400 points on the World ATP rankings in the men’s finals.

Moses beat Ghana’s Na-Adirago 7-5, 6-2 on the center court to win the first edition of the McDan West Africa Tennis Open.

The Nigerian took home two trophies, $1000 cash prize, playing kits and other products from sponsors.

This year’s McDan West African Tennis Open is the first ever to be held in the country.
