Elmina Sharks have gained promotion to the premier league for the first time in the history of the club with a 3-1 win over Gold stars at the Ndoum Sports Stadium.
Goals from Obeng Crentsil, Richard Atika and Charles McCarthy was enough to seal maximum points for the Elmina based club and move them 12points clear at the top of Zone 2 in the division one league on 65points.
The Closest challenger in the zone, Karela Fc have 53 points, which means Coach Kobina Amissah’s men have secured an automatic berth in the premier league with two games to spare.
Elmina sharks will face King Faisal and Nzema Kotoko in the remaining two fixtures.
