Some people who were restricted from interacting with the statue this afternoon shared their sentiments with Univers News.

“I don’t really know why a security man should be here. If security men are on campus to gard human lives, are they now coming to guard the statue that is there for the public to see?, one student lamented.

Another student who was ordered off the perimeter said;

“The security man should be cautious. I stopped to read, I didn’t stop to take pictures or touch. So for that he shouldn’t query me. That is why when he did that, i didn’t pay attention to him. I just needed to get information off it and then move on.?

Some individuals also alluded to the inadequacy of security personnel on the University adding that the priority of the security department of the school has been misplaced.

However, other pedestrians concurred with the move.
