The Treasurer for the Distance Education Unit at the University of Ghana, Noah Amartey has firmly established that students under the distance education unit can go now to pay their fees as issues concerning the bank payment have been resolved.
He then said, students can proceed to make payments appropriately via Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB).
“Students can now proceed to make their payments so that they can register for their courses dully”.
According to him, students who made payment through other banks before the notice are to present slips to the School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE) account office for activation provided they can’t register for their courses.
“There is a little problem here because most students initially made the payments directly into the accounts which mean the used the account number given as well as the account name given. Now what they are to do is not to take a cash deposit slip but to request for a fee payment voucher or the fee payment slip”.
The account name and Account number given out earlier are not to be quoted when making payments rather the following should be quoted ;
Students who made earlier payments are to forward their Names ,ID number and Snapshot of payment slips to the Distance Education Student Representative Council (DE-SRC).
Payments can be done at any GCB branch nationwide.
