The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has released writer and journalist, Fadi Samhi Daboussi today, September 26.
His release follows an ultimatum issued by a group calling itself Ghana Must Know.
The group threatened to stage a mass protest at the premises of the BNI if Daboussi was not released by midnight of September 25.

’59 Years Of Nothing’
Mr. Daboussi was reportedly arrested last Friday at the Kotoka International Airport for the publication of a book entitled ’59 Years of Nothing.’
The publication allegedly brings the current presidency into disrepute.
Occupy BNI
The group, Ghana Must Know stated intentions to stage a massive protest at the premises of the BNI on the morning of September 26 if Daboussi was not released by midnight, September 25.
According to them, the BNI failed to release Mr. Daboussi after the stipulated 48hours.
He was also denied access to legal counsel.
The BNI was also reported to have ransacked Daboussi’s home while he was in detention.
