Medical students of the University of Ghana were left stranded on the main campus following a delay in the arrival of their bus to convey them to the Korle-Bu campus for lectures on Tuesday morning.
The bus which conveys students to the Korle-Bu campus usually arrives on the Legon campus as early as 5:00am.
As at 7.00am Tuesday morning, students had gathered at the I.S.H Bus Terminal waiting for an available means of transportation. Considering the heavy traffic in most parts of Accra every morning, it appeared that these students were going to miss a greater part of class hours for the day.
Speaking to Univers News, one student said the situation has been like this since the beginning of the semester. He attributed the problem to the breakdown of one of the designated buses for conveying students to the Korle-Bu Campus.
The students, who couldn’t hide their frustrations appealed to the University management to fix the bus or acquire an alternative bus to transport them to the Korle-Bu Campus.
