The University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) has expressed its condolences to the families and the entire student populace of the University of Development Studies following the loss of two of the school’s students in a fatal motor crash, on the Salaga, Tamale road.
The deceased were Abdul Raphik, the immediate past Judiciary Committee Board Chairman of the Student Representative Council (SRC) and his colleague Awudu Alhassan, the immediate past Speaker of the Students Parliament.

According to the statement signed by USAG President, Henry Nkosuoh Boakye, students were admonished to be cautious even as their colleagues are being mourned.
Below is the statement released by USAG.
USAG MOURNS WITH ITS CONSTITUENTS AT UNIVERSITY OF DEVELOPMENT STUDIES, NAVRONGO CAMPUS.
With a heart full of immeasurable pain, anguish and a teary mood, the National Officers, National Executive Committee, Official Committees and entire members of the University Students’ Association of Ghana commiserate with the University of Development Studies, precisely, Navrongo Campus, for the sudden demise of their former SRC Executives through a fatal accident on the Salaga Road in the process of collecting data to complete their project work.
We at USAG express our heartfelt condolence to the immediate families, authorities and entire students of the University of Development Studies, Navrongo Campus.
Again, we appeal to all students to be more circumspect, at this lugubrious, sorrowful and debilitating moments, even though we humbly accept the situation is full of an unbearable characteristic.
Fare thee well, Mr Abdul Rafik and Mr Awudu Alhassan.
May your gentle souls rest in everlasting peace.
