University Of Ghana SRC Prez Christened By God To Lead His People – Radio Univers 105.7 | Voice of Legon

University of Ghana SRC President, Ms. Esinam Afi Seade says she was christened by God to head honcho the student body to his Kingdom.

According to her the seat of SRC President of the University of Ghana has been conceived to have some political currency but her reign as the mouthpiece of the students will be for the furtherance of God’s work here on earth. Ms. Seade said God tasked her to use her position as president to lead God’s people to his feet.

“My being here is not because of my strength neither is it because of who I am or what I have. I am here because I have a charge to keep. I am here because I have to make sure you make it to the kingdom of God. Being SRC President, being something political but this year God told me; Esinam your presence in this position is for the performance and furtherance of his work.” the SRC President said.

She further asked the congregation to explore the goodness of God this semester and have a deeper understanding of what we can use Jesus for.

Ms. Seade tasked her constituents to rally behind her administration to change the face of the University; one that they will be proud to associate themselves with as their alma mater in the few years to come.

“This semester what I want us to do is to come together and change the face of this institution. We want to stand at places where our voices are going to be heard. I want to give you a charge today; if you hear that SRC is doing something, do not think I’m the one doing it. I want you to take it as a responsibility because at the end of the day University of Ghana will be your alma mater and you have to be proud of it.”  she said.

Also speaking at the joint service was the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Agyarko appealed to students to partake in this year’s elections and asked students whose vote are far away to transfer their vote to the electoral area they will be residing during the day of voting.

In attendance were the Patron of the University Christian Fellowship, Dr. Ishmael Ackah, UCF President, Mr. Emmanuel Aggrey and his executives, all Denominational Presidents the SRC treasurer as well as the students body.

The theme for the semester from the University Christian Fellowship (UCF) is “Edification in love and the work of the Holy Spirit.”
