Information reaching Univers News indicates that the Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic party for Krachi west constituency in the Volta Region has been stripped of his position.
The constituency chairman, Mr. Mathias Kwame Banyaolenso who confirmed the news to Univers News in an interview said the decision was taken by the National Executive committee of the party because Mr. Kenneth Jima’s actions and inactions
According to Mr. Banyaolenso, ever since Mr. Jima’s popularly known as Abedi won the parliamentary primaries to contest on the ticket of the party, he seldom shows up in the constituency to promote the party and its activities. This he believes is adversely affecting the party and its fortunes in the constituency.
“Ever since he became the candidate of the constituency of the party, he has only been to the constituency twice and never and that’s bad for the image of the party which I believe could be the cause of his sack”
“He also failed to Tour areas during the district assembly and the limited registration exercises which I believe is also bad and the National Executives Committee brought in a direction that those who do not attended should be reported and so we took the matter to them” he stressed
The constituency chairman added that he received the letter from the regional chairman to that effectand have served Mr.Jima accordingly. We are however learning of a meeting scheduled among the stakeholders to be chaired by acting National chairman of the party, Mr. Freddy Blay.
