Team captain of the Jean Nelson Akah hall basketball team, Kobby Kyei Baffour says side is in the right frame of preparations to start the season on a high.
The defending champions lost most of their big name players at the end of the last academic year as most of them said goodbye to tertiary education. Kobby Kyei Baffour believes his side is a stronger side now despite the loss of some of their big stars.
“I think it is a lot for us to live up to, we’ve won it on back-back occasion and many of our guys have left and everyone believes we are going to lose but then we actually trust that we’ve built quite a stronger team now and I believe we can win it again” Kyei Baffour said.
He however admitted the toughness of their opponents stating that their game against Kwarpong is going to be their toughest in the group stages and a win will be a good moral booster for the rest of the season.
The champions play Alexander Kwarpong hall on Wednesday, September 28 at 3:00pm on the University of Ghana campus.
