Student’s Representative Council(SRC) President at the Accra City Campus of the University of Ghana, Mr. Abekah Emmanuel has hinted of plans to renovate the only conference room popularly known as the Junior Common Room(JCR).
The Accra City Campus Junior Common room is currently in a bad state, hence the decision by the satellite campus President to rennovate the common room
“Some years ago,this place was not tattered and open as you have seen.When i came to campus,we loved this place and it was air conditioned.Today, if you see look on my left,you see the two air conditioners standing there,none of them is currently active”
Speaking on the state of the city campus Student’s Representative Council(SRC) Address, presented to the General Assembly, Mr. Abekah said that his outfit have written to several financial institution to come and help to refurbish the JCR.
He also added that his outfit has been able to secure some oscillatory fans.
Mr. Abekah further added that the outdoor seats popularly known as lovers’ bench are yet to be installed if the authorities approve of it.
Furthermore, he said that his outfit has secured a tennis board as well as footballs to help the sports team during their training sessions.
This he says will go a long way to aid them obtain victory in their competitions.
