Legon hall netball player has condemned the attitude of the netball officials. Kafui Faraday accused the officials of being bias and favoring the Volta hall netball team.
Day 2 of the University of Ghana netball competition ended on a violent note as the Legon hall players went head on with the officials for concealing the scores during the game. The game saw the Volta hall ladies emerge victorious beating their opponents by 11 to 10 points to the disappointment of the Legonites as they had hoped to win the game.
The players, the media and the spectators were oblivious of the scores till the end of the game. The scores were however released to the captains of the sides at the end of the game. The announcement of the results led to protests from the Legonites which were ignored by the officials.
Kafui Faraday who doubles as a University of Ghana Students’ Sports Council executive made reference to the volleyball competition where scores are announced periodically in the absence of scoreboards.
