Popular Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu has revealed that some doctors in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja recommend his movies to patients with Blood Pressure (BP) to help make them better.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News, he expressed joy he had touched many lives through his comic roles in movies.

The veteran actor narrated that, “I saw many years ago that the writers were not putting comic relief in the scripts so I decided to create it so that even if you’re watching somebody who has been poisoned or killed in whatever way, you’ll have cause still to laugh.”

“No other person has strived to create comic relief that’s too bad,” he lamented.

Chiwetalu, who also often plays the role of a wicked and evil man in movies who uses very interesting vocabs, added that he incurs the wrath of some fans when he plays such roles.

“Way back like 15 years ago when they couldn’t understand the difference between an actor and the real person, when the movies are done and they come into the market, after watching it, they used to throw sachet water at me. Some could come as if to greet you and slap you, beat you on the shoulder, but I was able to bear the situation, having understood their psyche,” he said.

The famous actor is well known for movies like ‘Fire on the Mountain 1 & 2’, ‘Price of the Wicked’, ‘Dr. Thomas’, ‘The Priest Must Die’, ‘Police Recruit’, ‘Beauty and the Beast 1-3’ among others.
