UG SRC Tells Students To Hope For A Miracle In The Payment Of Their Fees – Radio Univers 105.7 | Voice of Legon

The Treasurer of the Student Representative council of the University of Ghana, Prince Amoah has urged students to be unwearied by the increase in stipulated fees scheduled for next academic year.

He explained in an interview on Radio Univers Morning show, Campus Exclusive that the components such as university charges and other approved charges, in this year’s fees has seen a decreasing return comparatively.

He also attributed some part of the increment to the resorting of the University to an IMF projection of 15 percent in contrast to last academic year’s dependency on the inflation rate.

We will students to keep calm, because considering the rate at which fees has increased, we did a little comparison, the fees are basically university and other approved charges, the university charges have to do with imposed University charges. This year the school did not use the current inflation rate, but resorted to IMF’s projection”

When asked by the host of #CampusExclusive, Maxwell Amoofia how management of the University can help students for a reduction in the school fees, the Treasurer responded by saying that he believes in Miracles.

“Miracles do happen, except you don’t believe in miracles, I believe in miracles” he said.

Prince Ampofo Amoah also added that  University Management should listen to the pleas of students students and reduce the fees.

He further added that students of the University of Ghana should keeping hoping for the best since life has always been about hoping.
